Meet Andrea
I’m a nerd and a classically trained dancer with a bleeding heart. A J.D. who has never practiced, I don’t regret going to law school because it paved the way for another path, and added fuel to the flames of my intellectual curiosity.
I’m just as influenced by my 20 years of dance training as I am by my early adult gym obsession and yoga practice. I’m just as influenced by the spells, books, and podcast episodes of adrienne maree brown as I am by the work and biographies/documentaries of Anthony Bourdain (RIP), the poetry of Ocean Vuong, the words of Prentis Hemphill, the art of Dali, and the music of Sade. You’ll often hear me quoting some of my most influential yoga and Buddhist teachers - Susanna Barkataki and Jacoby Ballard.
Where we come from and who we learn from informs so much of who we are -
I was raised by books, PBS, NPR, and dance in the Deep South of the 90’s and 2000’s. I was valedictorian of my public high school, co-editor of the school year book, in the drama club, among other extracurriculars. I was in a pre-professional competitive dance company for many years. I often say that I was pulling all-nighters in elementary school, and I got burned out from the hustle of having to do so much as a scholarship kid to get into a “good” college. From a young age, like many small town kids, I wanted to be anywhere but there. I couldn’t wait to grow up and have agency over my own choices.
Spirit/Soul
This wanderlust and search for home has led me to travel (I’ve been to over 50 countries) extensively and search for a spiritual home inside of myself. I’m an Aquarius sun through and through, the “rebel with a cause” as my astrologist would say. I care deeply about the collective - human rights for all and the planet’s health and would love to chat you up over a great glass of Oregon or New Zealand Pinot Noir about this. This also bleeds into a love of history and a belief that history does repeat itself when lessons aren’t learned or growth doesn’t happen. I really do want everyone in the world to experience the fullness of their humanity, respect for their human rights. I believe in the truth of the Buddha’s words “Hatred does not cease by hatred, but by love, alone.”
Mind
The intellectual curiosity of the nerdy DARE contest winner and all the extra-curriculars did land me in that “good” college and after a brief stint in the working world, a “decent” law school. As someone who academically pursued international studies at the undergraduate and graduate levels and someone who loves experiencing different cultures and ecosystems through travel, I have an intellectual curiosity for the world at large. I have also worked in/beside non-profits for nearly a decade and have a passion for supporting organizations doing the work in the world. I understand how that world works. I love learning from thinkers, activists, and organizations doing the work across the world to expand human and environmental rights.
Body
I love moving. My dance training and love of physical movement led me to stumble into a side hustle in fitness in 2014 that has turned into over a decade in this business.
“Movement is medicine” they say, and I’ve felt that for myself as a dancer, gym rat, yoga student and on the other side, as a group fitness instructor, yoga teacher, and personal trainer. I love helping people get in touch with their bodies in presenced way. Nothing is more of a work win for me than helping a client achieve a movement goal.
I’d love to get to know you. I’d love to work together.
“Freedom can’t be contained within a paradigm that is individualistic. One cannot be free alone: freedom is collective. Freedom is about transforming conditions so that communities can live in more habitable conditions.”
“Love heals. Heals and liberates. I use the word love, not meaning sentimentality, but a condition so strong that it may be that which holds the stars in their heavenly positions and that which causes the blood to flow orderly in our veins.”
“Yogic civic engagement invites a joyful paradox. Civic engagement invites us to get involved and to act within the world without getting too attached to being of the world. Civic engagement is connecting, acting and caring beyond the sphere of our own lives, into a wider circle of influence and impact. ”

Andrea Cameron is the Founder of Aetheria Movement, a virtual fitness and yoga studio that believes in democratizing fitness and honoring yoga’s roots. She has been moving since her first dance class at age three. She loves sharing her passion for embodied movement with a trauma-informed approach with her personal training and group clients. Aetheria was born from the pandemic’s shift to virtual fitness and yoga and grew with a cross-country move and a lifestyle full of international travel. She has traveled to over 50 countries - the least commonly visited being Andorra (she and her husband drove through on a wine/wedding trip to Spain in 2018), Guyana (her husband’s family hails from here), and Vanuata (a gorgeous and recently independent South Pacific island nation). As she is currently a nomad living abroad, Andrea appreciates the connection that virtual classes and sessions provide to her movement community.
When she’s not working out or practicing all 8 limbs of yoga, Andrea is listening to a podcast about Buddhism or social justice, reading a human rights’ org newsletter, or diving into her favorite authors’ and poets’ work. Or, she’s listening to Sade while cooking up something delicious in her ever changing home kitchen. She and her husband love to travel with a purpose - often pairing wine region trips with hiking trails, checking out all of the religious sites in an area, going museum hopping, or going on a Michelin star meal tour. Andrea is an Aquarius sun, Libra moon, and Aires rising, Myers-Briggs INFJ, and tri-doshic. She lives with her husband Omar and their dog, Apollo, and is in an exploration of what home means and where that is.
